Fremont Solstice Parade

Thanks to Uncle Aaron and Erica for taking Elana to the Solstice Parade on Saturday. She was a little on the cranky side, but they seemed to have fun anyway.

The big news of the week is that Elana has started laughing!!! It is the most intoxicating sound I have every heard. She seems to be very ticklish, which is the key to getting her laugh! Here is a video of her giggling:

Tomorrow we get on a plane and fly to Madison, Wisconsin for a week and half. I hope Elana cooperates on the plane again. At least this time I have Noah's help . . .

Sushi!

Today was Elana's first trip to get sushi. We met Holly for lunch and Elana got model the new shirt that I made for her (make that the only shirt I have ever made for anyone!). Thanks to Danielle for all the help on my sewing journey these past months.

I am beginning to think that Elana is beginning to get some teeth. She is drooling by the bucketfull and has a sincere hand and finger fetish. She pretty much has them in her mouth 24/7, and it seems to make her very happy to suck on her fingers. I am thinking that is why she has been a little more cranky lately. On Thursday we have our 4-month appointment at the pediatrician--let's hope that Elana doesn't become demon child after her vaccinations again this time. Especially since papa is leaving for a trip to Wenatchee directly following the appointment . . .

Arizona

Well, Elana passed the airplane test with flying colors. She fussed for a few minutes on the way down there and not at all on the way back. she slept a lot of the flight. PHEW!! i was really worried about it.

We had an excellent time with the Webbers at their condo in Fountain Hills. It was sunny and hovering around 100 degrees every day! What a difference from the dreary Seattle weather that we have returned to.

Here is a picture of Elana in her new pack n' play

We had fun visiting Saguro Lake

Climbing Squaw Peak outside of Phoenix

Visiting Tortilla Flats and Canyon Lake

And just hanging out with the baby

Thanks to Grammy and Big Poppy for hosting the family reunion. It was very sad leaving yesterday. I wish we lived closer!!!
